I attended the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2024), which took place in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The first Annual Meeting was held there in 1936, and it has since returned to the city 12 times. However, it was my first time in Chicago, and I loved the city, which I found to be a vibrant mix of art, history, and fun.
Conferences are one of the most enjoyable parts of my work life, as I have the opportunity to present my recent research, brainstorm new ideas for research, meet old friends, and certainly make new ones. I had a lot of fun working, but l also enjoyed the great city vibes. For brunch or just relaxing with coffee, I recommend Goodness and Baker. For improv stand-up shows, check out The Second City.
