π‘ Whatβs the paper about?
Burnout is a significant challenge in modern workplaces, but understanding how job demands relate to it often lacks a broader contextual lens. Our study takes an integrated approach, examining 5485 employees across 2872 units in 89 German organizations. We explored how job demands interact with collective trust and competitive pressure at multiple levels, uncovering nuanced insights into what protects or challenges employee well-being.
Published in the esteemed Human Relations journal (FT50-ranked), this paper contributes to understanding how workplace dynamics can better balance productivity and well-being.
